Icon

Yale Therapy Group has been part of the Chilliwack community for more than 25 years.

While our team has grown and evolved, our focus has remained the same:
providing meaningful, professional support to those we serve.

What can I expect?

Therapy with us is a collaborative process – gentle, respectful, centered around your experience, goals, and needs. There is no one way here, only what is helpful for you.

Session Options:

If you prefer online sessions, we have you covered. If you are looking for in-person care: please note that our current office location is not wheelchair accessible. If that’s a concern for you, we offer virtual or phone sessions as an alternative.

How do I choose a Therapist?

Whether you’re new to therapy or looking for someone new, the questions below may support your search.

This is about getting curious, tuning into what matters to you, and honoring that.

Relational Fit:

What kind of connection feels right for you?

  • What qualities help you open up with someone - warmth and nurturance, steadiness and grounding, clarity and directness, or a mix of these?

Noticing this can help you choose a therapist whose presence feels like a natural fit.

Shared Experience & Values:

Who feels like someone you could trust with your story?

  • Some want to work with a therapist who shares parts of their identity or lived experience.

  • For others, it’s about finding someone who shares similar values

Pay attention to who feels aligned with what matters most to you.

Approach & Style:

What kind of support are you hoping for?

  • Talk therapy, body/somatic work, music therapy or spiritual exploration?

  • Or,  trauma processing therapies like EMDR or ketamine-assisted therapy?

  • Maybe you want to develop tools for coping, deepen self-awareness, or build your relational skills?

Logistics:

What needs to work for therapy to be accessible for you?

  • We want to let you know right up front that, unfortunately, our current location is not wheelchair accessible. We do offer virtual or phone sessions as an alternative.

  • Beyond accessibility, consider things like scheduling, session format, and what realistically works in your weekly/monthly life.

Let's dig a bit deeper,

Whether you’re new to therapy or looking for someone new, the questions below may support your search.

This is about getting curious, tuning into what matters to you, and honoring that. As a collective – and as individual therapists – we’re committed to doing the same: honoring your experience, listening with care, and respecting all of who you are and what you bring into this process.

Approach & Style: What kind of support are you hoping for?

  • Are you seeking talk therapy, somatic work, spiritual companionship, trauma work, EMDR, ketamine-assisted therapy, or music therapy? Do you want to develop tools for coping, deepen self-awareness, connect with your body/emotions, or process trauma?

Focus & Specialities: What are you coming to therapy for?

  • Are you looking for support with trauma, grief, anxiety, addiction, relationships, burnout, identity or life transitions? Are you wanting someone experienced in working with specific communities or issues?

Logistics: What needs to work for therapy to be accessible for you?

  • Consider things like scheduling, session format, accessibility, and financial fit - whatever helps therapy feel sustainable.

  • Please note: our building is not wheelchair accessible.
