Laurie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Registered Social Worker offering relational, attachment-oriented, and somatic therapy for adults. Her work supports clients in slowing down, feeling safe, and gently tending to the parts of themselves carrying pain. Although not exclusive, she has a special interest in women and trauma, bringing warmth and compassion to this tender and brave work. Her approach undoes aloneness and moves towards what has been stuck, unseen, unfelt, or forgotten. She supports clients in moving through difficulty and experiencing themselves and others in new, gentle but empowering ways

I very much respect you for following the therapy nudge.

Welcome! I invite all of who you are, exactly as you are.

I love my work and have the great privilege of coming alongside individual adults navigating the many edges of being human. Experiences that we’ve struggled with – the ones we turn away from or have learned to live around – are the very ones I hope to turn towards with care, gentleness, and intention.

Stories of trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and relational pain are areas of interest. You may or may not be clear on what you need or where to start and that’s okay. I’m forever in awe of our capacity for change when we feel safe, heard, and connected. I have learned this not just through training, but again and again through those I sit with, as well as through my own journey.

Therapy is highly individualized and paced to meet your unique needs.

My approach to therapy is:

  • Relational

  • Attachment-oriented

  • Experiential

  • Somatic

  • Trauma-informed

What does this all mean? Change and growth happen through experience, not just talk. My hope for you is not just to develop coping skills or insight, but to support work that is deeper, relational, and embodied – work that is gently transformative.

Together, we will connect to, feel, and integrate what has felt messy, hidden, or painful. We will pay attention to the mind, but also the body and what arises in the therapeutic relationship. These are often the places where deeper emotions, patterns, and possibilities begin to show themselves.

I’m not a blank-face therapist, nor an advice-giver. I show up as a real person -  engaged, honest, and deeply invested in our work together. I’m dedicated to offering my best to clients through ongoing training and supervision.

(Note: I have training in ketamine-assisted therapy and facilitate this through Upstream Health.)

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Registered Social Worker. I worked in the community before starting in private practice and previously taught at the University of the Fraser Valley as a sessional instructor. Thanks to my social work roots, I also enjoy contractual work with the Adoption Centre of British Columbia.

Outside therapy, I chase the sun, get lost in books, love all things colorful and creative, and reset by water, walks, and weights.

The body speaks its own language, and learning how to listen can unlock deeper processing and growth.
